This is a contract remote role for a Shopify Developer. The Shopify Developer will be responsible for building and customizing Shopify themes, integrating third-party apps, optimizing performance, and ensuring responsiveness. Other tasks will include troubleshooting issues, collaborating with design and marketing teams, and implementing new features to enhance the user experience.
Responsibilities
- Build, customize, and maintain Shopify themes and storefronts
- Implement new features to improve UX and conversion
- Integrate and configure third-party apps and APIs
- Optimize store performance, speed, and responsiveness
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Work closely with design and marketing teams to execute requirements
- Ensure best practices across code quality and scalabilityAchieve monthly sales objectives
Must Have
- Bachelor Degree or Higher Proven experience in Shopify development and customization
- Ability to build custom Shopify themes from scratch
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid
- Experience integrating third-party Shopify apps and APIs
- Solid understanding of responsive web design
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, contract setup
- Comfortable collaborating with design and marketing teamsPassion for software products
Nice to have
- Experience with performance optimization for Shopify stores
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
- Experience working with e-commerce brands at scale
- Exposure to ERP or system integrations (e.g. Odoo, Zoho)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
